The Man With Water Fear
A father and son live together in a house in the country. Every day they bear the brunt of the soldiers’ violence, until one day the boy comes up with a solution.
Seren Gel was born in 1985 in Tunceli, Turkey. She has a degree in Philosophy from Istandbul University as well as non-thesis masters from the same departement. She worked on many cinema and television series sets. She has shot three short films; Dema Tuya (Berry Time), Dicle and The Men with Water Fear, which have been screened at a variety of local and international festivals.
Selim Akgül was born in Mardin, Turkey. After he had graduated from the Department of Management at Mustafa Kemal University, he studied cinema and theatre at Mesopotamia Culture Center. Then, he took part in a theatre group at Mesopotamia Culture Center and he acted in various plays. He participated in the films Anlat İstanbul, Bahoz, Welcome, D, İncir Reçeli and in the TV series Son Tercih and Türkan. He was awarded 'The Promosing Actor' prize in ÇASOD Acting Awards (2006) for his role in Anlat İstanbul. Also he is directing and shooting short films.
