Cargo

Alina is twenty-five, comes from Ukraine and works as a prostitute on the outskirts of Rome. Jani, the guy who forces her on the street everyday, can't keep his eyes off her.





Carlo Sironi was born in Rome in 1983. He began his career in film working as an Assistant Director and since 2007, he was Assistant Director to Claudio Noce on various films including Adil e Yusuf that was shown at the 64th Venice Film Festival. Sofia, his first short film, was selected for the 28th Turin Film Festival, the Giffoni Film Festival and various other international festivals. Since 2011, he has been working as a Tutor in the “Eccezioni Simili” workshop as part of the Festival Poiesis and also directing video clips and book trailers. In 2012, the documentary Il Filo di Arianna (Ariadne’s Thread) was screened at the Archipelago Festival. Cargo is his second short fiction film and he is currently in development for his first feature film.
